Spring has Sprung!

The sun is shining, the weather has begun to warm up and nature is starting to bloom! Spring has arrived and The Pavilion could not be more excited for the summer wedding season!   With wedding season comes gorgeous bridal bouquets, handsome boutonnieres, colorful table centerpieces, and other cheerful floral arrangements that our brides and grooms create to enhance The Pavilion!

Here are some wedding floral designs to brighten up your day!

We can not get enough of pink peonies!

A mix of brightly colored flowers can brighten up any head table!  This couple chose to use white birch, filled with simple wildflowers, as their vases which followed their eclectic flair… extremely clever and absolutely stunning!

White flowers make for a soft, yet stunning centerpiece.

Why not put a quirky twist using a rustic candelabra?!

Who says that flowers are the only way to add height to a dinning table?  This look would fit The Pavilion perfectly!

The Knot has awesome ideas for vintage-style centerpieces!

Men look just as fabulous wearing pink.   Pink peonies could accent any color tie! Check out The Knot for some unique boutonniere designs!

Vintage

The Pavilion at Orchard Ridge Farm’s rustic, elegance is without a doubt the perfect setting for a vintage-style wedding. We absolutely fall in love with all of the incredible details that our brides put into their special day.  From the quaint lemonade stands at the ceremony sites to the simple mason jar centerpieces for the reception, our wedding day couples do not miss a single detail!  We like giving feedback on their creative decor, but also love sharing some ideas that we discover!   Here are some vintage-style wedding ideas for a stunning outdoor ceremony!

This Pavilion bride created a beautiful entrance using these antique doors.  Many of our brides continually discover creative ways to re-create this ceremony piece.  It was absolutely gorgeous and would look amazing at any outdoor ceremony.

Uniform white ceremony chairs reflect the ultimate outdoor wedding scene, but why not create a rustic “backyard” look using mismatched vintage chairs.  This look would look adorable atop of The Pavilion’s ceremony hill! Create the perfect setting, while doing no damage to the budget, when purchasing mismatched chairs at a thrift store!  Check out Ruffled for more wedding design ideas using mismatched vintage chairs.

As this Pavilion bride walked through the rustic antique doors, up to her handmade wooden chuppah, guests were silent with emotion!  This simple, yet dramatic setting created the perfect vintage wedding site!  Looking for simple ways to make your own chuppah? Check out Inspired Goodness to get some basics on DYI ceremony canopy’s and chuppah’s.

Old bird cages and bud vases would look stunning hanging from The Pavilion’s Oak Trees, up on the hill.  Hung by blush colored ribbon, antique bird cages would make for a unique alternative to the unity candle or sand ceremonies.  Set doves in these antique cages and then let fly free at the conclusion of the ceremony.  Listening to the doves chirp, while the warm summer sun glistens through the trees would create the perfectly romantic setting for a nuptial!

Standing an old, rustic window, with past family wedding photos tucked into the frames, will give your guests something to look at while waiting for the ceremony to begin.  This piece would polish off any simple ceremony lemonade or tea stand.  One Wed has some incredible ideas for using vintage photos throughout a wedding.

These gentleman surly fit the part in this Pavilion vintage wedding.  The traditional tux is great for a black tie affair, but newsboy hats with suspenders finishes off any rustic wedding.

“Picture” Perfect Weddings!

Martha Stewart Weddings thought up some “picture perfect” ideas to incorporate photographs of the bride and groom into charming wedding photo crafts.  Ideas such as photo confetti, sprinkled throughout the dinning tables, would be a fun conversation starter to get your guests to interact with one another.  Or, maybe take your guests on a walk down memory lane during a cocktail hour , by creating a unique gallery of family or childhood photos!  Here at The Pavilion, we personally found the double-sided centerpiece, which is created as a tribute to lifelong family unions that have preceded the bride and groom’s, to be a simply picture perfect wedding idea! Check out Photo Crafts for Your Wedding via Martha Stewart Weddings for adorable snap shot ideas!

Here are some other ways to incorporate adorable photograph ideas into your wedding.

Wed Loft shares a photo booth idea using an entire wall with cut out squares and hanging antique frames to look like realistic “picture frames”.  This photo booth idea is perfect for a vintage theme wedding! Photo Credit: Sashasouzaevents.com

This fun wedding couple took shots around town holding up numbers that were used as photograph table numbers.  Perfect idea!  Placing a short and sweet, memorable story of the wedding couple on the back of each card would definitely be a conversation starter for your guests!  Possibly a story sharing… where they met, the first kiss, or even the first “I Love You” story!
