Kimberlyn and Joel wed at The Pavilion on Friday, November 6, 2015. Their dreams of merriment were summed up in two simple words: Cozy and Organic. They incorporated rich fall colors, aspects of nature, details of warmth and personalization, and a local, seasonal menu. The Serene setting of fall suited their personalities perfectly…
Tell us a little bit about your engagement. As Joel and I were approaching college graduation, I had a feeling that an engagement was on the horizon. However, the proposal was completely out of the blue and was everything I could have imagined. Joel proposed to me over Christmas break, in the privacy of my family home — Starbucks in hand, while cozied up on the couch. Our favorite spot! To us, it was nothing short of perfect.
What was your favorite part of planning the wedding? Lucky for me, my sister, an event professional, took over a majority of our wedding plans. This allowed for me to focus all of my attention on the small details that were so important to me — such as my gown and bridal party attire. Since my bridal party was made up of mostly my sisters, I wanted to be sure to select something just as perfect for them, as I did for me. What was the most memorable part of your wedding weekend here at The Pavilion? Waking up at the Copperstone Inn felt like Christmas morning, but the most memorable part of the day was a total feeling of relaxation. Knowing that The Pavilion, Copperstone Inn, and Henrici’s Catering Team had everything covered was just incredible. The only thoughts I had that day were simply becoming Mrs. Freudenberg.
What you would do differently if you could plan your wedding all over again? Hmm… I would have most definitely booked another night at the inn. Leading up to the wedding day, all of our focus was on the event. It would have been wonderful to have an additional night, following our wedding, to let the total wedding experience soak in.
What great advice do you have for brides who are currently planning their big days? I would say trust the process and allow The Pavilion and your vendors to do what they do best. As long as you express your wants clearly as a bride, everything will fall into place perfectly. A kicker on choosing vendors: USE The Pavilion’s preferred list of professionals… They. Are. The. Best!
