The Budgeting Bride

We get it and we’re here to help! A wedding budget is entirely important, but it surely doesn’t mean that you’ll have to pass on planning for a gorgeous venue with amazing cuisine. Let’s talk ways that The Pavilion and Henrici’s Catering will help you make it work.

To begin, be clear about your budget — and we’ll be sure to stick to it! If our team knows right up front what you can spend, we’ll present you with options you can afford, so you don’t have to worry about falling in love with ideas out of your price range. Here are a few of our suggestions for the budgeting bride.

1. Cut the guest list. Sure your Great Aunt Sue and old neighbor Dave would love to see you get married, but maybe set aside some time after the wedding to get together instead of trying to invite every Tom, Dick, and Harry! This will slash your catering costs immensely, and even save on invitations and the number of centerpieces you’ll need!

2. Think off-peak season and save thousands. Choose to marry on an unconventional date or day of the week — think Friday evenings, a Sunday wedding brunch, or winter weddings — since these days less traditional, we offer huge discounts! As an example, you will save at least $3,000.00 at The Pavilion by selecting a Saturday date in April VS. June on just the rental alone. Now that’s a no-brainer!

3. Pass on hosting a cocktail hour. If you can be open to adjusting timelines, plan for a first look before your “I Do’s”. This way, all of your photos will be done pre-ceremony and you can head right into dinner after formal introductions. Trust us when we say that you’re guests will love you for this (because they are hungry and want to dance!), and your wallet even more… Passing on cocktail hors d’oeuvres and an extra hour of bar will greatly cut down the budget.

4. Offer beer, wine and a signature cocktail instead of a full bar. Give up the hard stuff and serve only beer and wine. These selections pair better with dinner and are less costly than full bar service.  If you’re worried your guests won’t be happy with the selections, offer one or two signature cocktails they can choose from —Henrici’s Catering prices signature cocktails that can be served for up to one and a half hours!… plenty of time for your guests to get in their cocktail fix.
